Vester Dinning Chair

The Vester Dining Chair was originally commissioned for the historic Svinkløv Badehotel, a seaside retreat in northern Denmark. Designed by Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm, the chair focuses on functional details that enhance the dining experience without demanding attention. The frame is constructed from golden oiled oak, offering a warm, natural surface that invites touch. A transverse brass rod is integrated into the top of the backrest, serving as a durable handle for pulling the chair out from a table. Additionally, the rear legs extend vertically past the backrest to form a discreet hook, providing a convenient spot to hang a purse or jacket. This thoughtful blend of utility and form earned the design the "Furniture of the Year" title at the Danish Design Awards.
